The wisteria tree in bloom

Now the spring is here and this wonderful wisteria tree is blooming in our garden.

Wine Country Championship @ Winte Vineyards

This week the Nationwide Tour had a stop at Winte Vineyards Golf Course in Livermore, this is a very challenging course designed by Greg Norman.
Her is the view from the Tee at hole 10. The green you can see is the 9. Hole.
Hole 18. on this very beautiful and challenging golf course. After four rounds in very difficult conditions with strong winds, they found a winner Omar Uresti, with a total score of 288 equal Par. This was only the second time in Nationwide Tour history, that a tournament was won in par or higher.

A day at Poppy Ridge

Today was Mike's first round at Poppy Ridge golf course, it's a very nice Scottish Heathland Course with lots of sand trap's and a deadly rough, stay out of the rough if you want to find your ball again.

The sun was shining from a blue sky but with a very strong wind, this was one of the reasons to a very long round of golf.
This is not the last round for me at Poppy Ridge, I just has to train some more before I try it again, so now it's back to the driving range and train.

Poppy Ridge also has a very nice driving range and short play training course. It's here you will meet me next time.
Here is the Club house, with pro-shop and restaurant with a view over the golf course and the vineyards.
Poppy Ridge has 27 holes, the first nine Merlot, then Chardonnay and the last nine Zinfandel, a course with love for the California vine, cheers!

A "summer" weekend in California

The weekend started Saturday with a tour round the Bay looking for a used car for Mike. At 7.00PM we were the owners of a Volvo CX70 from 2003, a really nice car.

Sunday we went for a ride in the Volvo through Palomares Canyon. The sun was shining and there were lot of bikers on the winding road through the canoyn. We ended up in Pleasanton, where we enjoyed a nice lunch. We also went for a walk in downtown Pleasanton and ended up at Tulles cafe, got a cup of cofee and enjoyed the view of all the Harley's there,

See how the Harley's are sparkling in the sun.

Tour of California

We went to San Francisco Sunday to see the Prolog of Tour of California. As you can see it can be tricky to park your car in SF, so we had to walk up this street.

We finally reached the top of Telegraph Hill, where we found a nice spot close to the finish line, where we could see all the bike riders including the 3 danes, Michael Rasmussen, Jacob Piil and Brian Vandborg.

Her is the chicken from Tølløse close to the finish line on a very bad day 46 sec after Levi Leipheimer ending on possition 129.

The Container

Her is the container when it was packed in Lellinge Denmark last year.
Now it has arrived to Oakland after crossing the Atlantic sea into the Gulf of Mexico through the Panama channel into the Pacific Ocean up the Mexico coastline and then under the Golden Gate into the Bay.
Now we just have to wait until it’s cleared by the US customs.
If all goes well, can we have our furniture this week, it will be nice to have our meals at a table instead of on the floor.

The house

Her is our new house in California, it has a grate view and is placed in a quiet neighborhood, now we just have to wait until our container arrives with our furniture’s.
