A day at Poppy Ridge

Today was Mike's first round at Poppy Ridge golf course, it's a very nice Scottish Heathland Course with lots of sand trap's and a deadly rough, stay out of the rough if you want to find your ball again.

The sun was shining from a blue sky but with a very strong wind, this was one of the reasons to a very long round of golf.
This is not the last round for me at Poppy Ridge, I just has to train some more before I try it again, so now it's back to the driving range and train.

Poppy Ridge also has a very nice driving range and short play training course. It's here you will meet me next time.
Here is the Club house, with pro-shop and restaurant with a view over the golf course and the vineyards.
Poppy Ridge has 27 holes, the first nine Merlot, then Chardonnay and the last nine Zinfandel, a course with love for the California vine, cheers!

A "summer" weekend in California

The weekend started Saturday with a tour round the Bay looking for a used car for Mike. At 7.00PM we were the owners of a Volvo CX70 from 2003, a really nice car.

Sunday we went for a ride in the Volvo through Palomares Canyon. The sun was shining and there were lot of bikers on the winding road through the canoyn. We ended up in Pleasanton, where we enjoyed a nice lunch. We also went for a walk in downtown Pleasanton and ended up at Tulles cafe, got a cup of cofee and enjoyed the view of all the Harley's there,

See how the Harley's are sparkling in the sun.
